It was a sad day for the Hoosiers on Saturday. It looked like they might actually beat Michigan State. But after a few horrible calls as well as some mistakes, defeat won out. My mortal enemy is illness....specifically when involving throwup.
I cannot even discuss yesterday's game. It was shameful. You know the one I speak of. I hang my head. My mortal enemy is crickets (yes, plural...I am lumping all cricket population into one for now). They are flying roaches that basically take aim for your face. BLECH!!!
Okay, didn't watch much football ... for shame! Was too tired after a adults only weekend with our Home Team couples ... fun! But, I would say my mortal enemy ... which Christ has won the battle over and now I must stand in victory over the enemy ... is flab and laziness. Ugh!
Ugh, my poor Hogs. And my adopted team UGA didn't fare well at all either. But a ray of light - the Gators and USC both lost.
Sarah - You beat me to the mortal enemy shout out. Those two teams irk me beyond anything else in the world. Cap off the weekend with an FSU win -- where I was actually in Jax, in the front row behind the Nole bench on the 35 yard line -- and it was a perfect weekend all around. Seriously, it was perfect.(Plus, the Colorado fans weren't even that upset about losing becuase they all seemed to be so happy to be in Florida for a last little burst of summer.)
My team did really well and they didn't even play. Because of the upsets this weekend. Texas Tech moved from number 10 to number 7. Our mortal enemies are A&M and Texas.
Not rubbing it in to the Unsinkable, but the Aubrinator's team narrowly escaped defeat in Texas Stadium on Sunday--and everybody knows the Redskins and the Cowboys don't get along so well...however, my team's mortal enemy is now the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at 1:00 EST.
